Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07181704
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily form a transparent conductive layer by forming an electrophotographic photoreceptor out of an insulating transparent substrate, a specified transparent conductive layer formed on the insulating transparent substrate, and a photosensitive layer laminated on the transparent conductive layer.

CONSTITUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has an insulating transparent substrate, a transparent conductive layer comprising polyarylene vinylene expressed by formula I, polythienylene vinylene expressed by formula II or polyfurylene vinylene expressed by formula III on the insulating transparent substrate, and a photosensitive layer on the transparent conductive layer. The intermediates of polyarylene vinylene, polythienylene vinylene, and polyfurylene vinylene are soluble in a solvent, so that the intermediates are diluted with a solvent, applied on the insulating transparent substrate, dried and heat treated to form the layer comprising polyarylene vinylene, polythienylene vinylene, polyfurylene vinylene expressed by formula I to III. After the layer is formed, the layer is treated by doping to decrease the resistance. Thus, the transparent conductive layer is formed, or the film thickness of the transparent conductive layer is specified to obtain a layer having both of transparency and conductivity. Then, the photosensitive layer is formed on the transparent conductive layer to obtain the electrophotographic photoreceptor.
