To develop an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has high surface hardness, wear resistance, scratch resistance and interlayer adhesion property and stable electrophotographic characteristics for repeated use even under conditions of high temperature and high humidity, and therefore, with which good images can be obtained for repeated use, and to provide a method and device for the formation of an image and a process cartridge using the aforementioned photoreceptor.
In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer on a conductive supporting body, the surface layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor contains a siloxane resin having a structural unit having a charge transfer performance and having a crosslinked structure. The content of silane monomers in the photosensitive layer is ≥1 ppm and ≤500 ppm.
