Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has a decrease in sensitivity neither in the beginning nor during repetitive use even when a nonhalogen-based solvent is used as coating liquid for charge transport layer and also has superior electrification property, its manufacturing method, an image forming apparatus using the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and a process cartridge for electrophotography.
SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor is constituted by laminating at least a charge generating layer and the charge transport layer formed by using the nonhalogen-based solvent in order on a conductive base, wherein the charge generating layer includes a polyvinyl acetal resin and a charge generating material having a mean grain size smaller than the surface roughness of the conductive base.
