Abstract:

To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which is easily manufactured and excels in sensitivity characteristics, and a method for manufacturing the same.

The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing a charge generating agent and a hole transport agent. The method for manufacturing the same is also provided. The hole transport agent is a compound having a triarylamine structure synthesized using an amine compound and an aryl halide as starting materials and a catalyst containing a phosphine compound represented by general formula (1) and a palladium compound, wherein Ar1-Ar3 are each independently a 5-10C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or the like, and at least one of Ar1-Ar3 is a substituted or unsubstituted biphenyl group.
