Abstract:
To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which combines high wear resistance with provision of a half-tone image of highlight having high reproducibility and good thin-line reproducibility.SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is provided that has an undercoat layer and a surface layer in this order on a substrate. The undercoat layer contains a metal oxide particle and a specific binder resin. The surface layer contains charge transport substance, a fluororesin particle and a specific binder resin. The arithmetic mean roughness Ra of the surface of the undercoat layer is 0.15 μm or less. A refractive index (a) of the metal oxide particle and a refractive index (b) of the binder resin contained in the undercoat layer satisfy a specific relationship. A refractive index (c) of the binder resin contained in the surface layer and a refractive index (d) of the fluororesin particle satisfy a specific relationship..SELECTED DRAWING: None
