Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2803610
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure superior electric charge retaining ability, low residual potential and high performance by incorporating oxotitanium phthalocyanine and a thioindigo pigment into an electric charge generating layer.
SOLUTION: This photoreceptor is a laminate type electrophotographic photoreceptor having an electric charge generating layer and an electric charge transferring layer and used in a negatively electrified state and the electric charge generating layer contains oxotitanium phthalocyanine and a thioindigo pigment. A compd. represented by the formula (where each of R1-R4 is H, CH3, Cl or OCH3) is used as the thioindigo pigment and the electric charge generating layer has high electric charge retaining ability. This layer is easily formed with a coating material prepd. by dispersing prescribed amts. of oxotitanium phthalocyanine and the thioindigo pigment in a resin binder and further dispersing them in a solvent.
