Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5579453
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the durability of the photoreceptor by providing the protection layer composed of the resin contained with metal chelate compounds of triphenyl methane base dyes on the photoconductive layer formed on a substrate.

CONSTITUTION: The protecting-film-forming solution prepared by adding one or more kinds of chelate compounds of triphenyl methane base dyes to one or more kinds of organic macromolecular compounds and dissolving these in a suitable solvent, e.g., tetrahydofuran is coated on the photoconductive layer formed on a substrate and is then dried, whereby the protection layer is formed. As compared to the protection film added with conventional dyes, the photographic photoreceptor using this protection film has not so much difference in electrostatic characteristics but it is superior in resolving power and while it gives the distinct copies like the ones given by the photoreceptor having no protecting film, it increases the durability of the photoreceptor.
