Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in potential variation suppressing effect when images are repeatedly formed in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor comprises a substrate, an intermediate layer formed on the substrate, and a photosensitive layer formed on the intermediate layer; the intermediate layer contains a metal oxide and a compound represented by the formula (1). (In the formula (1), Ris a hydroxy group or a carboxy group, and Rto Rare each independently a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, hydroxy group, carboxy group, amino group, and alkoxy group. One of the carbon atoms in a principal chain of the alkyl group may be substituted by O or N, and the alkyl group and the alkoxy group may be substituted by an alkyl group, aryl group, halogen atom, or carbonyl group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
