Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that comprises a photosensitive layer excellent in fogging resistance.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor 1 comprises: a conductive substrate 2; and a photosensitive layer 3. The photosensitive layer 3 is a single layer and contains a charge generating agent, a hole transport agent, an electron transport agent, and a polyarylate resin. The polyarylate resin has a principal chain and a terminal group coupled to a terminal of the principal chain. The principal chain includes a repeating unit represented by the following general formula (1). The scratch depth of the photosensitive layer 3 is 0.50 μm or less. The Vickers hardness of the photosensitive layer 3 is 18.0 HV or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
