PURPOSE: To obtain an original plate with the improved water holding property excellent in printed picture and plate wearing resistance even in severe conditions by incorporating a resin (A) as a binder resin and a nonaqueous solvent-based dispersed resin grains into a photoconductive layer.
CONSTITUTION: The resin (A) has 1×103-2×104 weight average mol.wt., incorporates ≥30wt.% of a polymer component of the repeating ingredient shown by formula I, and combines with a polar group selected among -PO3H, -SO3H, etc., at one terminal of the polymer principal chain. In formula I, a1 and a2 are hydrogen atom, halogen atom, etc., and R03 is a hydrocarbonic group. The nonaqueous solvent-based dispersed resin grain is the copolymer resin grain obtained by dispersing and polymerizing a monofunctional monomer (C) contg. functional groups shown by formulas II and III and which polymerized and insolubilized in the nonaqueous solvent and a monofunctional monomer (D) contg. a substituent contg. silicon atom, etc., and copolymerizable with the monomer (C) in the nonaqueous solvent in the presence of a dispersion stabilizing resin soluble in the nonaqueous solvent.
