Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC RECEPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS564149
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance sensitivity to light in the near infrared region in an electrophotographic receptor using a photoconductor consisting of a mixture of poly-N- vinylcarbazole and trinitrofluorenone, by increasing a mixing amount of the latter component.

CONSTITUTION: An electrophotographic receptor is made by forming on a conductive substrate a photoconductive layer consisting of a mixture of 1pt.wt. poly-N- vinylcarbazole (a) as a photoconductive polymer and 2.1W3.26pts.wt. trinitrofluorenone (b) as an electro acceptor. A protective layer consisting of a mixture of component (a) and a binder is further formed on the above photoconductive layer, permitting deposition of component (b) on the surface of the photoconductive layer to be restricted and the durability of this layer to be enhanced. Component (b) may be added up to 1/2 times the amount of component (a) by weight, and the above photoreceptor has a photosensitivity 3W10 times as much as that of the conventional known ones in the region near 750nm.
