Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a photoreceptor not causing production of ozone and problems due to its production, by forming a photosensitive layer contg. three components of a specified perylene pigment, poly-N-vinylcarbazole, and a specified electron acceptor.

CONSTITUTION: An electrophotographic receptor has a photosensitive layer contg. a perylene pigment represented by the shown formula, poly-N-vinyl-carbazole, and an electron acceptor of a benzene deriv. substd. on the nucleus by at least one radical selected from a group consisting of OH, COOH, carboalkoxyl, and carbohalide, and at least one radical or atom selected from a group consisting of nitro and halogen. Remarkably superior photosensitivity is obtained by either dispersing or dissolving said three components into the same photosensitive layer.
