PURPOSE: To perform high-precise the feed of recording papers and drive of a photo-sensitive substance through a single motor and to reduce a cost without lowering image quality by a method wherein a motor to call out a recording paper from a feed paper tray, a motor to drive a photo-sensitive substance, and a motor to feed a recording paper to a recording position and discharge it to the outside of a paper feeding device are used in common with each other and torque of the motors is controlled.

CONSTITUTION: An electronic photograph type recording device comprises an image recording means 11 to transfer and record an image on a photo-sensitive substance drum 13, on which picture information is written and formed, at a recording and discharging in a recording position; a recording paper feeding and discharging means 21 to feed the recording paper P on a feed paper tray 22 to a recording position and discharge the paper to the outside of a device; a stepping motor to drive the photo-sensitive substance 13 and the recording paper feeding and discharging means 21; and a control part by which the stepping motor is driven by torque higher than torque when picture information is written on the photo-sensitive substance 13 until the forward end of the recording paper P is detected by a feed paper sensor 25 at a position situated downstream from a recording position.
