Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0278
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive body high in physical strength and photosensitive characteristics by coating a surface protective layer made of a necessary binder resin with a specified solution, drying and hardening the coating film to form the uppermost surface protective layer.

CONSTITUTION: The surface protective layer obtained by dispersing a metal oxide powder into the binder resin is coated with a solution containing Si(NCO)4 or an organotitanium compound, and dried and hardened to form the uppermost surface protective layer, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be increased in mechanical strength, enhanced in durability, lessened in tendency to cause trailing of images even during uses for a long time and under high temperature and at the time of abruptly changed humidity, and enhanced in photosensitive characteristics.
