PURPOSE: To improve photosensitive characteristics and surface hardness by coating a photosensitive layer with a coating soln. contg. thermosetting silicone resin and methyl-etherified melamine-formaldehyde resin and by hardening the coating soln. to form a surface protecting layer.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive layer is coated with a coating soln. contg. thermosetting silicone resin and 0.1-15 pts. wt. methyl-etherified melamine- formaldehyde resin basing on 100 pts. wt. nonvolatile solid matter in the silicone resin and the coating soln. is hardened to form a surface protecting layer. No harmful influence is exerted on photosensitive characteristics and physical properties and the formed surface protecting layer has high surface hardness.
