PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive body high in sensitivity and superior in durability by forming a layer contg. a specified disazo pigment on a conductive substrate.

CONSTITUTION: The layer formed on the conductive substrate contains as an electrostatic charge generating material the disazo pigment represented by formula I in which A is a coupler residue, preferably, ones represented by formula II or III, thus permitting an electrophotographic sensitive body extremely high in sensitivity to be easily produced by use of such a disazo pigment.
