Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62198864
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the sensitivity of an electrophotographic sensitive body to light having long wavelength and the negative charge retentivity by incorporating an anthanthrone compound, a phthalocyanine compound and an oxadiazole compound into the photosensitive layer.

CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive layer contg an ahthanthrone compound, a phthalocyanine compound and an oxadizaole compound dispersed in a resin binder is formed on an electrically conductive support. A compound represented by formula I is especially preferable as the anthanthrone compound. In the formula I, each of X1 and X2 is halogen and n is 0 or an integer of 1W4. The phthalocyanine compound may be metallo- or metal-free phthalocyanine or an aromatic ring substitution product thereof. A compound represented by formula II is especially preferable as the oxadiazole compound. Since a proper amount of the anthanthrone compound is added to the phthalocyanine-oxadiazole system as a phthalocyanine-positive hole carrier system, the negative charge retentivity and sensitivity are improved and a sensitive body having high sensitivity during negative charging can be obtd. even in case of a single layer.
