PURPOSE: To provide a thin structure of an electrostatic attraction device in order to easily set it into another device without deteriorating the original function of another device by printing the electrode groups on a synthetic resin sheet material serving as a dielectric layer.
CONSTITUTION: The electrode groups 2-5 provided alternately with the positive and negative poles are printed on the rear face side of a synthetic resin sheet material 1 serving as a dielectric layer in the conductive ink. Then a sheet material 7 of paper, etc., is set on the dielectric layer 1 and the voltage is applied to the groups 2-5 by a DC power supply 6. Thus the electric charge of the different polarity is generated by the electrostatic induction at a position opposite to the material 7. Then the material 7 is attracted by the layer 1 with the electrostatic attracting force. Under such conditions, the groups 2-5 are attracted to the layer 1 and therefore the attracting force is never reduced. When the power supply 6 is turned off, the generated electric charge is discharged via the layer 1 and the attraction state of the material 7 is released. Then the discharging action of the remaining charge is promoted since the groups 2-5 are attracted to the layer 1.
