Abstract:
To improve energy conversion efficiency of an electrostatic induction type converter.SOLUTION: The electrostatic induction type converter includes: a substrate (3); a charging material film (31) provided on the substrate and at least partially charged electrically; a support shaft (4) attached to extend vertically from the substrate; and a plurality of counter electrodes arranged to oppose the charging material film. The charging material film has an annular region (31a) around the support shaft, and a plurality of drive regions (31b) extending outward in the radial direction from the annular portion and aligned in the circumferential direction. The annular region of the charging material film is lower in density of electrified charges than in the plurality of drive regions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
