To provide an electrostatic input device capable of detecting an accurate z-coordinate even when an object to be detected is different.
The electrostatic input device includes: an input part 100 including a detection electrode 110 forming electrostatic capacitance between the detection electrode 110 and an input operation surface 105a with/to which an object to be detected is brought into contact or comes close; an actuator 120 to be a driving part for changing a distance between the input operation surface 105a and the detection electrode 110 in a z direction to be a normal direction of the detection electrode 110; and a control part 300 for changing the distance between the input operation surface 105a and the detection electrode 110 by the actuator 120 at predetermined timing, detecting each electrostatic capacitance at each change and calculating the coordinate of the object to be detected in the z direction on the basis of the detected electrostatic capacitance.
