Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance purification effect by controlling the voltage-current characteristics of a high voltage power supply to maintain a short-circuit current not to exceed the allowable max. current.
CONSTITUTION: The voltage-current characteristics of a DC high voltage power supply 16 to be applied between an electrode 6 on a high voltage side and an opposing electrode is controlled to keep a short-circuit current not to exceed the allowable max. current as shown in the curve B, thus permitting conductivity to be reduced and purification effect to be raised.
