Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance color reproducibility by selecting a specified combination of pigments as a coloring agent, and integrating each pigment or flushing by the combination of a wax and a resin.

CONSTITUTION: In a magenta liquid developer used in a process for electrostatically adhering a toner particle mainly containing a coloring agent and a resin dispersed in a carrier liquid to an electrostatic latent image to make it a visual image followed by color superposing, the coloring agent consists of a mixed system of two or more kinds of pigments, at least one kind of the pigments is a water-insoluble azo pigment, at least one kind of the other pigments is a quinacridon pigment, and at least a part of each pigment is mutually solid solubilized. In this case, two kinds or more of the pigments of the coloring agent are flushed with a polyethylene wax having a softening point of 60-130°C and an acid value less than 1.0KOHmg/g and an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer.
