PURPOSE: To form an image on plain paper in spite of a relatively simple constitution by constituting a heating region of a first conductor layer, the intermediate layer connected thereto on one end side thereof and the second conductor layer connected thereto on the other end side thereof corresponding to the voltage applied across common and individual electrodes in an electrostatic thermal printing head.
CONSTITUTION: An Ag-containing epoxy resin is applied to respective heating regions 13 through an insulating layer 14 composed of insulating glass and cured to form first conductor layers 14 in a strip like shape so as to cover the heating regions 13. The first conductor layers 14 are connected to earth potential on one end side thereof. An intermediate layer 15 composed of a substance changed in vol. resistivity (Ro) corresponding to a temp. change are integrally formed on the first conductor layers 14 along the heating regions 13. Second conductor layers 16 composed of Au are formed on the intermediate layers 15 in a strip like shape in parallel to each other corresponding to the heating regions and fixed on a holding substrate 17 composed of ceramic and the intermediate layers 15.
