To control an electroviscous fluid valve for controlling an actuator in which the electroviscous fluid is used as an operation fluid by PWM controlling an impression voltage arbitrarily and stably.
An amplifier 16 amplifies this PWM wave form by a high voltage power source and supplies it to a first valve 18. At the same time, the PWM waveform is reversed by a reverse circuit 14 and used as a reverse PWM waveform. The amplifier 15 amplifies this PWM waveform by a high voltage power source and supplies to a second valve 17. The duty ratio of the reverse PWM waveform becomes to 0.8. As the PWM control supplied to the first valve 18 and amplifier 16 is a periodical on/off control, when the electric field strength at a full close time in the maximum voltage difference of an application system is adopted to an amplitude, the full close/open state of the electroviscous fluid valve can be realized periodically.
