Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an electroviscus fluid having large electroviscus effect, not causing settling of a disperse phase, capable of improving re-dispersibility, and further, excellent in long-term stability, low initial viscosity, response to low electric current and in electric field.
CONSTITUTION: This electroviscus fluid uses carbonaceous powder having true sphere-like form as a disperse phase and dimethylsiloxane and fluorosiloxane as a medium phase and silicone oil as an additive, respectively and contains the disperse phase and the medium phase at a mixed ratio of (1-50)/(99-50)vol% and contains an amino-modified silicone oil in an amount of 0.1-20wt.% based on the carbonaceous powder in the oily medium oil.
