Abstract:
To provide an element for deflecting an excess liquid from a coated surface.
The coating element 25 is provided with a liquid deflector member 28 for separating a doctor-treated coating liquid from the surface 27 of a coating coater roll 24 by deflecting the coating liquid. The liquid deflector member 28 is arranged below a doctor blade member 26 for removing the excess coating liquid L from the surface 27 of the coating coater roll 24. The excess coating liquid 1 is separated along a flow passage from the surface 27 of the coating coater roll 24 and descends on the working surface 36 of the liquid deflector member 28 to avoid the soiling of the coating coater surface.
