PURPOSE: To provide an optimum working environment for reforming the exterior wall face of a building by not only preventing an elevating scaffold from being rolled by high winds and the movement of workers, etc., but also enabling work to be continued even in the rain, and enabling workers to move horizontally on the exterior wall face of the building without re-shoring.
CONSTITUTION: In an elevating scaffold, which has a working floor 1 allowing entrance of workers, frame members 2 for holding the working floor 1, and locking means 3 provided in connection with the frame members 2, and is so formed that a plurality of lifts B, each of which is hung by a hanging member 6a extended from a winch means 6 disposed at the top of a building A so as to rise and fall along the exterior wall face (a) of the building A, are horizontally connected to one another and can travel around the building A, the lift 1 comprises a cover member 4 extended over the frame members 2. The cover member 4 is so formed to have a canopy portion 4a and an exterior wall portion 4b provided in connection with the canopy portion 4a. A sealing member 5 is removably disposed between the end portion of the canopy portion 4a and the exterior wall face (a) of the building A which is opposite to the end portion.
