To provide an elevating type cabinet which can ensure a wide article housing space without narrowing the lateral width of an article housing section, and in addition, has a simple structure, can be manufactured at a low cost, while having a good operability and a good appearance.

On the front surface of a cabinet main body 1 which is a structure, this elevating type cabinet is elevatably fitted. The elevating type cabinet is equipped with a pair of right and left guide rails 16 and 16, a supporting frame body 18, and a box body 2 for article housing. The pair of guide rails 16 and 16 facing up and down is fixed to the front surface of the cabinet main body 1. The supporting frame body 18 is vertically movably fitted on the front surfaces of both guide rails 16 and 16. The box body 2 is fixed to the front surface of the supporting frame body 18, and the front surface of which is open. The lateral widths of the supporting frame body 18 and the box body 2 are made approximately the same.
