To provide an elevator additional service setting device allowing a user to change settings of specifications of additional service easily from an elevator landing place using a portable terminal unit.
This portable terminal unit 1 obtains application software required for changing settings of elevator additional service from a management center 5 by radio communication. The portable terminal unit 1 can change set data of elevator additional service in the portable terminal unit by the obtained application software. The communication between the portable terminal unit 1 and an elevator control panel 3 is performed using infrared rays. The portable terminal unit 1 enables infrared ray communication and can change settings of specifications of additional service easily from the elevator landing place by utilizing an infrared ray communication port provided in a body and providing the infrared ray communication port on the landing place on an elevator side.
