Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an elevator cage which allows steady provision of a mat proprietary for service under the rain and accordingly eliminates carrying any mat.
CONSTITUTION: The arrangement according to the present invention comprises a hinge means 8 installed at the bottom of a side wall 2, a mat 5A which has approx. the almost same dimension as the floor surface 4 and whose bottom is secured to the hinge means, a plate 6 enclosing the surface portion which is exposed when the mat is set upright, and a fixing means 9 which fixes the mat to the side wall in such a way as removable, wherein the mat is arranged as revolving round the hinge means between the side wall and floor surface, and the mat is set upright usually and secured to the side wall, and is laid down on the floor surface at the time of service.
