To provide an elevator car capable of not only facilitating assembly of side plates but also preventing falling or rubbing of the side plates.
This elevator car is constituted in such a way that the side plates constituting wall faces of the car 1 are divided into a plurality of parts, other side plates except the rear face intermediate side plate 3b are fixed, and then the rear face intermediate side plate 3b is fitted between the rear face both side side plates 3a and 3c from a surface side to assemble the side plates. A flat plate 10 regulating moving of the rear face intermediate side plate 3b onto a rear surface side is provided on the rear face both side side plates 3a, 3c. The rear face intermediate side plate 3b is provided with a stepped member 12, which opposes to a rear surface side of the flat plate 10 to regulate moving of the rear face intermediate side plate 3b onto the surface side.
