To provide an elevator control device capable of improving the ride quality even when a combination of a winding machine with an electromagnetic brake is changed.
A control circuit 11 for giving driving commands to a drive circuit 3 of an electric motor 4 is structured to be provided with a brake specification setting circuit 13 for setting an optional one out of plural brake specifications, and a braking time timer counter 15 for giving electric motor driving commands after a brake releasing time period which corresponds to setting of the brake specification by the brake specification setting circuit 13 has elapsed. For each brake specification combined, a starting torque is given to the electric motor in response to the time difference between the time when a brake coil is energized and the time when brake torque is released.
