Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent offering short-distance service to elevator passengers so as to enhance overall operating efficiency by setting whether or not a car call should be registered according to the floor on which an elevator passenger responding to a landing call gets into an elevator.

CONSTITUTION: When a landing call at the third floor is transmitted, a microcomputer 12 for controlling elevators identifies and stores data about car-call register inhibit floors preset by means of a console 17. When a passenger gets into an elevator car arriving at the third floor and presses a car-call button 7 provided on a car control panel, that car call is transmitted to a microcomputer 13 for registering car calls.; an inhibiting command when the car call transmitted is for the second or fourth floor, and otherwise a permitting command, are transmitted from the computer 12 to the computer 13; for the permitting command, the microcomputer 13 turns on a car-call responding lamp 16 for that floor, whereas for the inhibitting command the car-call responding lamp 16 is not turned on. Wasteful elevator operation is thus prevented.
