When a signal is inputted form any one of a specified button 1 to be pressed by a monitor, a specified button 2 to be pressed by the elevator users and a criminal act detecting device 3 for detecting a criminal act in a car of the elevator, a microcomputer 9 makes a flash light-emitting device 7 emit light by a setting set in advance by a setting device and a setting stored in a memory 9B, and controls an interlocking device 8 connected to a lighting system and an announcing device to turn off the light and announce a menace message. As a result, the criminal is made to recognize the crime prevention operation of the elevator to lower the crime continuing intention.
