Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided an emergency elevator device wherein a drive motor is rigid in structure, small in size and thin in thickness, its braking device is high in performance, and furthermore passengers can be rescued in case of emergency.
SOLUTION: The elevator device is equipped with an elevator car 1, a counterweight 16, a drive motor 17 which is mounted on the counterweight 16 for driving a rope 3, and with a braking device 18 braking the rotation of the drive motor by spring pressure. The elevator car 1 is moved up and down by driving the rope 3 with the drive motor 17 driven, and moving the counterweight 16 up and down, and the rotation of the drive motor 17 is braked by the braking device 18.
