A landing opening 15 formed on the floor 12a is opened or closed by a landing door 18, and communication passages 18c, 16a for communicating the floor 12a with the hoistway 13 are provided on either the landing door 18 positioned on the close terminal side of the landing opening 15 or the peripheral wall of the landing opening 15.
