To provide an elevator shaft magnetic device in order to generate the elevator shaft information of an elevator equipment.

A holder 5 having a clipping characteristic which consists of a leg 5.1, a back surface 5.2, and a front surface 5.3 formed integrally, is provided. A recess 5.4 in order to receive an elevator shaft magnet is arranged to the front surface 5.3. The leg 5.1 of the holder 5 includes reinforcement ribs 5.5 at both side surfaces, and chamfering parts 5.6 at its free end. At the front surface 5.2 having the recess 5.4, the second chamfering part 5.7 is provided. In a free condition, the leg 5.1 and the front surface 5.3 are extended to the free end while approaching a little each other. When the holder 5 is pressed in to a guide rail, the leg 5.1 and the front surface 5.3 are expanded a little, and the holder 5 is clipped to the guide rail by the springing characteristic of the back surface 5.2. The elevator shaft magnet can be set to the guide rail through the recess 5.4.
