On a doorway door apparatus 26 of each floor, a doorway door switch 64 which switches a conduction state and a non-conduction state depending on the case that as a door 53 of a doorway exists on a door-closure position or the door 53 of the doorway is separated from the door-closure position is provided. On the door 53 of the doorway of each of the doorway door apparatus 26, a doorway side terminal device 82 including a pair of doorway side conductive pieces 84 is disposed. Each of the doorway side terminal device 82 becomes conductive through a car side conductive piece 81 by contacting with the car side conductive piece 81 disposed on a door 33 of the car and becomes non-conductive when separated from the car side conductive piece 81. The car side conductive piece 81 and the doorway side terminal device 82 are brought into contact with each other by engagement between the door 33 of the car and the door 53 of the doorway. A controller 14 detects the presence or absence of the abnormality of the elevator based on the presence or absence of respective conduction states of the doorway door switches 64 and the doorway side terminal devices 82.
