Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve safety with which a physically handicapped person a wheelchair, etc., embarks in and disembarks by a method wherein a slide floor spanning sea between the deck of a ship under anchoring and a pier is retractably arranged to an elevation car elevated by an elevating device and detection of the elevation position of the elevation car and the embarkment and disembarkment position of a ship are detected for control.
CONSTITUTION: During embarkment, a wheelchair is placed on the elevation plate 18a of a lift device 18 and through drive of the lift device 18, the elevation plate 18a is raised from a passage surface to an inlet level. The opening and closing door of an elevation car 13 is then opened and after the wheel chair is transferred to the elevation car 13, a which 14 for elevation is driven to raise the elevation car 13. When a stop mark M marked in the embarment and disembarkment position of a cabin deck 5 is detected by a position sensor 26, the winch 14 for elevation is stopped through the working of an automatic stop device 27. A slide floor 23 is moved forward by means of an automatic slide device or through manual operation and a trap 25 at the tip thereof is installed at the cabin deck 5. With this state, an opening closing door 13b is opened and the wheelchair is caused to embark the cabin deck 5 from the elevation car 13.
