Abstract:

To provide an embolus material having good filling property and persistent property in an affected site, and high embolizing efficiency.

An embolus material used for a tissue or an organ with a blood flow including a blood vessel, an aneurysm, or a blood vessel deformity, contains a porous body as a constituent having properties (1) and (2): (1) a main constituent is a water-soluble polymer; and (2) the swelling rate in a saline is 2,500% or more based on the mass.
