PURPOSE: To enable both motors for adjusting the back, forth, left and right displacement of feed teeth to adjust also the back, forth, left and right movement of an embroidering frame to provide compact economical constitution by providing a feed ratchet, first and second intermittent rotary mechanisms and mechanism for selecting respective claws provided in the mechanism for the feed ratchet.

CONSTITUTION: When an embroidering frame 31 is moved in the direction +Y, a slide plate 37 and lever 39 are moved in the direction +Y by a back and forth feed motor 32 to move a Y feed claw 42 to a position opposed to a Y feed ratchet 41. Thus, a X feed claw 52 is retracted from a X feed ratchet 51. When a change-over lever 68 is then moved right by a left and right feed motor 60, a lever 39 is pivoted right about a fulcrum 37b and only a claw 42a for forward rotation of the claw 42 engages a claw portion 41a of the ratchet 41. Here, the motor 32 is operated to move the lever 39 through the plate 37 in the direction +Y. Thus, the claw 42a is rotated and the rotation thereof is transmitted to a pinion 44e so that a movable bed 45 together with a rack 46 is moved in the direction +Y. As a result, an embroidering frame arm 31 is moved through pins 45a, 45b in the direction +Y.
