To provide a simple emergency escape apparatus which can be installed at any place and to make naturally usual adults, especially old ages, children and physically handicapped quickly and safely escape.

The emergency escape apparatus 1 comprises a bag type chute 2 formed to concavity in the sectional shape made of a flexible material of a rubber or resin expandable by compressed gas, the chute 2, when it is expanded, comprises a sliding part 2a, a supporting part 2b projectingly formed on both sides of the sliding part 2a along the longitudinal direction and an expanded part 2c formed at an expanded end part 3a so as to cushion the impact given to escaping persons and to make the person readily stand. On the side of an end part 3b of the chute 2, at least a known compressed air generating apparatus 4 equipped with an acceleration sensor is installed. (in an embodiment, an inflater is used).
