This emergency lighting device 10 comprises a bar-like body part and a light emitting means housed in the body part. The body part is attachably and detachably mounted on the inner surface 51 of a lit 5 to be mounted by a mounting means 20. This device is further provided with a power source consisting of a battery supplying electricity to the light emitting means and a control means for controlling the emission of the light emitting means. The power source and the control means are housed in a bottomed housing cylinder 40, and fixed to the vicinity of the end of the body part by a fixing band 41. The bar-like body part is formed of a red opaque resin cylindrical member. Accordingly, the body part is constituted so as to have a hollow cylindrical part in the inner part as the whole, and opening sealing members are provided on both ends thereof.
