To provide an emergency rescue apparatus which is used regardless of power interruption since gravity is used as power even when power is interrupted and an elevator is not utilized in case of a disaster such as fire, and which is more safely used by having a basket compared with an escape method employing a ladder being dangerous for the aged or an impaired person.

The apparatus includes the basket (1) having a fall preventing device (5); a balance weight (2); a lock device (4); and a brake device (3), and is operated by gravity. Then the apparatus enables a person to safely escape even in case of the disaster without using artificial power.
