To prevent an ascent-descent prohibiting condition of an elevator from being released at rescure work by reciprocatively arranging a bar whose one side presses an eccentric cam by being energized and other side comes into contact with a contact point switch, in a rescue port cover.
When an emergency rescue port is used to perform rescue work, a lock of a rescue port cover 4 is released by rotating an eccentric cam 16 in the anticlockwise direction. Simultaneously with this, a contact point 20 swings in the major axis direction of a bar 15, and seperates from a leaf spring contact point 22a, and a control circuit to prohibit an ascent-descent an elevator acts. Next, when the rescue port cover 4 is opened, the emergency rescue port can be used, but the contact point 20 attached to the rescue port cover 4 side and a contact point switch 22 attached to a top cover plate 2 are physically and largely separated from each other thereby, and even if the contact point 20 does not separate from the leaf spring contact point 22a by rotation of the eccentric cam 16, a control circuit is actuated, and an ascent- descent of an elevator can be prohibited.
