Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EML transmitter having better transmission characteristics as compared to those of existing structures before and after transmission by improving the characteristics of chirp and extinction ratio when a light signal is transmitted by using the EML.
SOLUTION: The EML transmission system is equipped with the EML 51 for forming transmission light, entraining an electric signal to be transmitted in the transmission light by light modulation and transmitting the light, a first lens 52 for concentrating the light signal in order to prevent loss of the light signal outputted from the EML 51, a second lens 55 for concentrating the light signal to a core portion of an optical line of a transmission medium, and a band-elimination filter 56 for removing a DC component from the light signal to be transmitted.
