Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stabilize emulsion by making an emulsifying agent of Nα-long chain acryl alginine higher alkyl ester shown in the specified formula and the acid adduct thereof an emulsifying agent and blending the specified amount to prepare the emulsifying agent composition.

CONSTITUTION: Both 8-22C halogenoacyl compd. and alginine are condensed in the existence of base and thereafter the produced Nα-long chain acryl alginine is allowed to react with 12-22C primary, secondary or tertiary alcohol in the existence of an acid catalyst. As a result, Nα-long chain acyl alginine higher alkyl ester shown in a formula I (R1CO shows 8-22C straight chain acyl group and R2 shows 12-22C straight chain and branched alkyl group) and the acid adduct thereof are obtained. At lest one kind thereof is blended at 0.1-10wt.% as an emulsifying agent to prepare the emulsifying agent composition.
