To provide an emulsion composition which forms a drying membrane excellent in storage stability as well as in adhesiveness, flexibility, durability and stickiness.
This emulsion composition is one prepared by dispersing polymerized particles in an aqueous medium, in which the polymerized particles contains: 50-98 mass% of a constitutional unit (A) derived from an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer having a 4-14C alkyl group; 0.1-5 mass% of a constitutional unit (B) derived from an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylate monomer; 0-20 mass% of a constitutional unit (C) derived from a vinyl monomer having a cyano group; 1-20 mass% of a constitutional unit (D) derived from a monomer constituted of a reaction product of (meth)acrylic acid with a monofunctional epoxy compound; and 0-50 mass% of a constitutional unit (E) derived from another monomer which may be copolymerized with the monomers.
