To provide a novel emulsion fuel exhibiting excellent combustion stability in spite of a high ratio of added water, and a combustion apparatus suitable for combustion of the emulsion fuel.
The emulsion fuel comprises a micropowder, obtained by carbonizing organic wastes and finely grinding the product down to a particle size of 30 μm or less, a liquid fossil fuel, water and a surfactant. The combustion apparatus of the emulsion fuel is equipped with a combustion chamber 1, an ignition plug 5 provided in the combustion chamber 1, a main nozzle 6 for ejecting the emulsion fuel into the combustion chamber 1, an auxiliary nozzle 7 for ejecting the liquid fossil fuel into the combustion chamber 1, an air-supplying path 9 for supplying air into the combustion chamber 1, and a compressor for pressurizing air in the air-supplying path 9, and is constituted so that air in the air-supplying path 9 is heated by the combustion heat of the combustion chamber 1.
