To provide an emulsion type cosmetic comprising coenzyme Q10 enhancing moisture retention and sustainability of the moisture retention feeling based on the oily component and suppressing stickiness characteristic to the oil component.

The emulsion is obtained by mixing and dissolving the coenzyme Q10 with an oleum based on N-lauroyl-L-glutamic acid diester, and then emulsifying to obtain the emulsion with ≤200 nm of average diameter. The emulsion preferably comprises 0.01-10 wt.%, (more preferably, 0.02-3 wt.%) of the coenzyme Q10, 1-15 wt.% (more preferably, 5-12 wt.%) of the oleum based on N-lauroyl-L-glutamic acid diester, 0.1-5 wt.% of lecithin, and 1-10 wt.% of a polyhydric alcohol. The polyglycery fatty acid ester is preferably contained by ≤5 wt.%. The emulsion imparts all of the improved feeling of use, retention of the moisture retention, ameliorating effect on the skin roughening and stability with the passage of time.
